The Islands International Darts Event which was due to take place in January has been cancelled due to the current unstable Covid situation.
The new Islands International Event has been postponed for the second time, due to the current uncertainty surrounding the current Covid-19 situation.
Due to be staged in the Isle of Man in 2021 the new event involving the national teams of Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man and Ireland had to be postponed due then to the Covid restrictions surrounding travel and events. Now with the event just a few weeks away the Isle of Man have had to once again postpone due to the uncertainty over the current escalating situation.
The reformation of the local darts, lack of competitive play and the continuing Covid situation meant the Jersey Darts executive were reluctant to send a team to the event in January, but decided to send a representative team as a supporting gesture providing we could field the 13 Men & 7 Ladies required. However the was not enough uptake and Jersey had to decline its invite.
Jersey Darts have notified the other attending nations that it is their intention to send teams to event when the new date confirmed.
